Our Standards
What we require from all childminders & nannies
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child in our network, all childminders and nannies registered with 3 Doves must meet the following requirements before being listed.
QQI Level 5 Qualification
All registered childminders and nannies must hold a minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Childcare (or an equivalent recognised qualification in early years or childcare practice).
Up-to-Date Garda Vetting
Valid, current Garda vetting clearance is mandatory for all childminders and nannies. No exceptions. We verify documentation before any profile is approved.
References & Documentation
Childminders and nannies must provide professional references and any additional relevant documentation where required as part of the registration and verification process.
Our Commitment to Safety
These requirements are non-negotiable. Every childminder and nanny in our network has been individually reviewed and verified by our team. If you are in the process of obtaining your Garda vetting or qualification, we encourage you to get in touch and we will advise you on next steps.
Crèche & Preschool Cover
Relief childcare cover for early years settings
3 Doves can provide qualified relief cover for crèches, preschools, and other early years settings that require temporary staffing support. Subject to availability.
Staff Absences
When a team member is unexpectedly absent due to illness or personal circumstances, we can help source qualified relief cover to keep your setting running smoothly and maintain ratios.
Emergency Cover
For urgent, short-notice situations, we will do our best to connect your setting with a qualified childcare professional as quickly as possible. Subject to availability of suitably qualified staff.
Short-Term Support
Whether you need cover for a day, a week, or a few weeks, we can assist with short-term temporary placements for crèches and preschool settings across Ireland.

Relief childcare cover for crèches and preschools is provided subject to the availability of suitably qualified childcare professionals in your area at the time of your request. All relief staff placed through 3 Doves hold the required QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) and up-to-date Garda vetting.
